The longest day of the year!!!!
Well, the 4th week of my summer vacation is finishing up! Michael Ruiz and I are taking about 40+ from Germantown Middle to St. Louis tomorrow! Hopefully we won't lose anyone. I was able to buy group tickets for about $30 a piece. Parking will cost about $20. I hope to not spend an arm and a leg there!
I've been watching the Z boys for 3 weeks. S has been gone the past two weeks. He is at Boy Scout Camp this week. The other two Z boys have enjoyed swimming lessons, trips to Lifetime, VBS at BHBC, eating Doritos Locos Tacos, Jerry's Sno Cones, and slushes at Sonic.
I've been continuing to keep track of my calories using My Fitness Pal. I started at the beginning of May. I started out at 195 lbs. I weighed myself this morning and I weighed in at 177 lbs!!! That's crazy. I haven't been this weight since college. I feel good about myself and will be going in for a physical at LifeSigns on Friday.
I am the new Recreation Director at BHBC. It is a part time job. 8 hours. I will be heading up the sports and recreation. I hope to start a Bartlett wide basketball league with the various churches. Right now I am busy with getting soccer registrations. I also hope to start an adult coed volleyball league starting at the end of August. I am excited and anxious about what opportunities and challenges I will encounter.
My family is doing well considering the fact that my Dad has to get medical treatment for his prostate cancer. My mom called me today to see if they can go ahead and buy their burial plots. I know it is inevitable but I don't want to imagine life without my two warriors. They've sacrificed so much for me and those around them.
I will be going to World Changers next week in Ft. Smith, AR. We will be working on homes that are in need of repair...painting, putting up siding, or roofing. I am looking forward to doing ministry there. My father-in-law is the speaker and his sister, Bev, is the Project Coordinator! It will require a lot of hard work, sweat, and long days but I know that God will use me for His glory!
That's all for now! Until next time...God bless!
